Starting our countdown...who's kiddin'. Countdown started a long time ago!

We bought our 38' Durango 5th wheel ("Bernie") back in 2019. We did lots of weekend glamping (hence the name .....weekend at "Bernie's") and talked about early retirement, moving into Bernie full-time and travelling North America for a few years. So we started the process of downsizing ... and here we are!!

Even though Bernie was new when we bought it in 2019, if we were going to live in it full-time I wanted to do some renovations to personalize it and make it feel like home. So with help and guidance from our close friends, Maureen and Kemis, we started remodelling. Check our "after pics" (with no before pics...sorry!) in our gallery under RV Renos. We also installed 1,200 watts solar system so we can be completely self-sufficient (if need be).

On May 2, 2022, we loaded up our kayaks, mountain bikes and our cocker spaniel, Merlot, and hit the road. First stop...Drumheller! Don't forget to check out our gallery for updated photos.
